which have a maximum folded height of 90cms or less? (Budget £1000 or less)
The only way I can store one is by finding a model which is lower than this and which can take side storage brackets to enable me to get it through the garden gate - which, unfortunately, cannot be altered in width.
The lowest units are probably those by Comanche, Combi Camp and Camp Let but I think all those are probably over 1 metre tall. We looked at this problem 2 years ago and the biggest problem for us was how do you lift a loaded trailer on to its side. In the end we abandoned the idea but that has given us a different set of storage problems.
You are looking for the smallest ones on the market. Even they are heavy to tilt. I'd look for a storage compound or rent a garage. I rent a lockup off my local housing association for £7 a week.
Only storage I've found so far near the west side of Glasgow is almost £500 a year - trailer tent or caravan is the same price, which defeats the object of going for a trailer tent.
Towing weight is no problem as I can tow up to 3.5 tonnes so if I have to consider paying that amount for storage a caravan becomes first choice.
When we had a demo of a camplet I am sure they store on their side. Looked easy to handle. Give Camperlands a ring in Manchester. They have been very helpful each time I have contacted them.

They are easy, once you have removed all the canvas from inside and anything else of weight. Getting them up on the side is easy if you are a 25 year old rugby player, otherwise it is a hernia job to be attempted only once a year for winter storage.
