Used to have a Pennine Pathfinder..........loved it Had 3 double beds, but we only used the ones at each end, one for us, one for the kids, and kept the other as sofas.
Everything in it, fridge, wardrobe, toilet/washroom, full size cooker, sink etc and very well made. We had some stinkers of a holdiday weather wise, even the police coming to the campsite in France once, to tell everyone to batton down the hatches, but always stayed dry and warm. Never used just the main bit without the awning, as being very large, and heavy to pull (almost 1 ton), we only used it for long stays.
Downsides were that the awning took an age to put up, we had major problems if we had to pack down wet, as it was way too big to put up in our garden, and the storage & insurance cost a bomb because of the value. Our fuel consumption went down hugely went towing...and it wasn't great to start with (that's old Vee Dubs for you)
Had to sell her in the end as she wasn't being used enough, and costing a fourtune, but we do miss her........if we just had the space, and a better tow car
We have a Raclet TT now. Canvas is the same as Pathfinder (Ten Cate) so should stay dry, but the level of luxury is obviously lower...but then it did cost 10th of the cost of the Pathfinder
On a plus, beds are still off the ground, plenty of space, and the main unit can still be used without pegging down if we wanted, but I don't think that very likely. It also packs down small enough to keep in our garden, weighs a lot less so cheaper to tow, and cheaper to insure.
On a minus, kitchen facilities are no where near as good & no sofas to sprawl on in bad weather.
Obviously this is quite an extreme example, as we went from a top of the range FC to a TT, so if you went for a less expensive FC, the difference between the two wouldn't be so great.
Hope this is some help.
