Having come back from a long wet weekend in the lake district using a Khyam Tourer 400, I have decided to purchase a new TT, I want one in which you can erect the cabin quickly and easily. The Cabanon Sirocco looks like a good tent anyone any advice please.

Thanks

Gary

Do what Becca's done and buy a Combi Camp.

Depends on how much space you need,  I could be wrong, but I don't think the Cabanons are that quick to put up compared to the Trigano Arpege, Combi Camp, Commanche or a couple of the Raclet models.

It's all relative of course, and Cabannon are good quality.

How about a Dandy? They go up quickly and are very water and wind proof.

We have had a couple of Conways and liked them.  Have you looked at the Countryman or Challenger. I reckon these two have the kitchen in the main unit so you do not have to put the awning up. Great for short weekend breaks.

I have (and am selling) a Raclet Minto. This goes up very quickly, and can be in use within 20mins.

Our Cabanon takes approx 30 mins to erect fully now that we have a routine. (the cabin goes up in 10 mins)  Add another 30 - 45 mins to fully peg out and set up the inner and this gives a time that from what I have read on here is around the norm.

Cabanon's are excellent but have a good look round at all makes set up and you will find one that both catches your eye and suits your budget.

Most of all enjoy it.

I agree with julzgeraghty (?) DANDYS ARE GREAT.

With our 4berth, you get 2 double beds, 2 settees, a storage locker, the kitchen, cupboards and the sink, 2 'proper' windows and a lockable door, all this with out putting up the awning, and its all off the floor !!

It's not the putting it up it'd the folding it down - with a Dandy it doesn't matter if it's wet when it goes down. No need to have to try re-erecting it to dry out the canvas when you get home. Our 22 year old is still going strong - and ours is one of the younger ones! There are people we know still using 30 years + Dandys!
