The connections in the tap are the switch.

Take the live (red?) from the fuse and connect it to the 'common' (Red?) in the tap.  Take the live (Red?) to the pump and connect it to the other side of the tap. Take the - ve  from the pump (blue?) and connect to ground.

Diffficult to visualise I know, but this gives you the circuit that will switch the pump on when you put the tap on.

Hope this helps.

Hi, The taps have a simple single pole on/off switch fitted so only have two terminals. Check which is your live 12v wire (only live one will be fused) and connect the tap into that wire. The other wire will not go via the tap. Do not under any condition join red and blue together from your fuse box or fuse will blow. When all connected and tap turned on pump will run and water flow. If  pump runs but no water flow wiring to connector may be reversed causing pump to run backwards. Note some taps operate in reverse to taps at home ie home taps off clockwise, caravan taps off anti clock.

regards pete

Probably not. Difficult to reaslise without seeing it. (But very simple in essence)

Disregarding colours, the circuit is this: +ve wire out of fuse and connect into tap; wire out of tap (This is now a switched +ve) and connect into pump; out of pump to ground.

What is happening is that the tap is an electrical switch; as you turn on the tap, your are turning on the electric to the pump, pump starts, water flows.

Hope this helps.

PS North Lowestoft is getting as Chavvy as London Rd South these days! (But not quite!)
