I've asked this in the tent section and not had many replies, so I'll try here. We have a frame tent which was put away wet last year. Due to other commitments it was a couple of weeks before we got it back out to dry off. We discovered that the windows had fogged over. They are almost opaque. Does anyone have  solution to this ? Has it happened to anyone else ? The tent has been used since in dry, sunny conditions, but still not cleared.

sorry, havent heard of that before. does the surface of the plastic seem rough or pitted or is it inside the plastic. have you had the tent for long . try calling the maker , they might have more info on the subject . sorry i couldn't help more .

The surface is still smooth. Just opaque.

Just a thought - perhaps it might be cured with an application of heat?  Try a hairdryer lightly on it.  Could it be the wax waterproofer got on to the plastic if it was put away wet?  Maybe a wash will cure it. 

There has to be a logical explanation, otherwise everybody's clear plastic would be going opaque when it got wet if you think about it!!
