I am at home today writing this.  We should be in Caernarfon.  Yesterday we were due to set off.  We packed the car got the kids ready, the sun was shining, all had gone well.  We then went to pickk up the FC from the farm near by.  As we got to the farm the heavens opened.  The mobile phone rang, it was the 16 year old to say that the Lady from the campsite had been on to say she had to cancel the camping as the site was now water logged, also there was a possability the river behind the site could burst its banks.So we did no more than turn round and come home.  We rang the Campsite and sure enough it wasn't to be.  At least we found out before we set off on our journey.  Also we could avoid being flooded out.  That is awful, because that has happened to me so i know. So here we are safe and dry at home in Crosby.

We only had the weekend so it wasn't worth trying anywhere else.  My husband has had rubbishh hols this year, none of them were in school hols.  He even tried to swap but no joy.  so we have had to try and get away at weekends.  He doesn't get many of them either as he is a bus driver and works most weekends.  His hols are not his choice he gets allocated.  So it is pot luck if he gets good holiday dates.  mind you judging by the weather it is probably better to be off in November.
