Hi all,

I have just bought a second hand flores 230 and managed to buy both a brand new, still boxed, mid section awning extension and a boxed sun canopy with sides.

I assume that there will be some form of instructions in both the boxes but my problem is that I do not have any instructions for the setting up of the TT itself.

An even bigger problem is I have absolutely no experience of TT's whatsoever and seeing as I have booked a pitch in France for myself and the family for mid August I think it's about time i sorted out a few things before I went.

If anyone can help with any of the following I will be most grateful.

1) Some instructions for the Flores 230

2) Do I need some sort of travel adaptor for the electrical hook up in France.

3) Can I run normal 240v appliances like a kettle or hair dryer on the TT electrics or are they 12v.

4) Can a std extension lead be used if necessary.

Thank you if you can help with any of the above I am truly a TT "virgin" but willing to learn!

Hi, were about's are you? We have a Raclet and would be quite happy to show you if you're local?

They really are easy...even I can do the main trailer on my own, without my husband and I'm 5'2"

Awning is a bit more of an issue, not because it's complicated, just because I'm short

We only bought ours a few weeks back, saw it demonstrated once, and had no problems ourselves next time.

Can't answer the other questions, but my o/h can so...

1) Some instructions for the Flores 230 - See above

2) Do I need some sort of travel adaptor for the electrical hook up in France. - Possibly. Most French campsites take a standard hook up lead, but you could take a 2 pin adapter in case..or ring and check.

3) Can I run normal 240v appliances like a kettle or hair dryer on the TT electrics or are they 12v. - If you've got 13amp plug sockets in your TT, then they're 240v. There's probably a RCD somewhere in the trailer.

4) Can a std extension lead be used if necessary. - Not the sort you'd have at home. It has to be a proper hook up lead (don't skimp on this as it's really important to have a good quality lead)

If the Raclet owners site doesn't help, I'll try and put my thinking cap on for you for a step by step guide, but each person may do it slightly differently.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your awning extension & sun canopy? I would love both, but O/H won't let me spend £100's on them, so would have to fund it myself

Wanted to buy the mid section off a fellow member here, but was over ruled

Hope this helps.
