I got a topper and cut it into two pieces for the FC, because it is short for the beds I found that it is better to have no topper under the pillow but under my feet. if you see what I mean. OH found the opposite. My topper was uncovered when I bought it so I made cotton covers for them from old sheets I had. I think that the 5cm/2inch is just enough to make a difference. I cant see that the thinner ones would do anything at all.
We have just bought a 3 cm topper for about £33 on ebay, for our cabanon stratos. The foam it had was okay, but my back is not very good, so i needed a bit more support. we managed to pack it away in the trailer too...and now we are waiting to go away to try it, but it certainly looked and felt good.
hi we have a conway classic and use an inflatable matteress CHEAPER THICKER AND EASIER TO STORE,we inflate it using a 12v air pump, better nights sleep than at home!!!
We bought 2 single self inflating mats from Aldi for £12 each, just leave the valve open when packing away and when your folding away it pushes out the air in them. Worked very well for us.
i would recommend a company called com4tex on ebay; they sell a double size bed 2" [5cm] topper for under £30 delivered. it is a zigzag cut, so is not as good as normal 2" topper, but is more than sufficient for occasion nights camping, & better than a 1" normal topper. item number 320396296782
We bought memory foam toppers for our Pathfinder - made a real difference to the comfort. We have been lying them flat over the dining area when we fold the camper up - seems to work, though they are heavy and awkward to move - might try strapping them to the beds when we go away this week end.
We take sheets and quilts too - a lot nicer than sleeping bags. Why rough it?
