Hi Tony

Have a Raclet TT, really love it   We did ponder the idea of a van but decided to stick with what we have easy to tow and store and for weekends can just use the cabin part.

Have some pics in my gallery of our trailer, when buying yours just give it a good check over to make sure all is ok. We have a Parthenon. Best of luck let us know how you get on. Happy Camping.

hi we have just bought a 2nd hand raclet acropolis from pj camping at romford essex.

1st time out this week very pleased ,the trailer is smaller on the raclet than the other makes thats why we chose it.towed really well, we were worried about it but you didn,t notice it was there. we packed all our equipment in the spaes in the trailer which has saved us so much more room in the car especially when we take our dog. before we had the boot of an estate full, a camping trailer and a roof box and still not enough room. all we have in the car now is clothes and toiletries. we put the sleeping bags on the beds coming home and it still all folded up well we also layed the groundsheets on top then put the cover over the top of that lot.

we had really wet weather and were so gratefull we up graded to a tt i don,t think i could of slept on the floor with so much mud underneath it would of been so cold.

the main bit went up very quickly and 1 person could do it if needed. the awning bit is big on our model but it went up so much easier than our frame tent and seemed less heavy. i think it helps zipping it onto the main part 1st and then when you needed to   put the poles to the full height you undone a screw on the pole and just pushed them up.we are very pleased and are glad we made the chioce to upgrade. there are so many models around but we looked at advice from this website and looked around first.pj camping had a huge selection 3 weeks ago when we went there, they are also seling of there show models this week at really good prices.good luck

I had a second hand Raclet. We liked it a lot.Only problem we had was some thread rotted arount the semi - transparent panel in the roof of the cabin unit.

Also we only kept the inner tents in the cabin and threw the rest away (well, stored them in the garage) and didn't miss them one bit, even though the canvas was quite dark (sort of brown & beige colours)

I also made up a lighting main using plugs & sockets from auto speaker systems, the ones with the pins & blades. This keeps the polarity right and they are very small & cheap. All the lights came from car boot sales.

Hi there,

We have had a Raclet Marathon t.t for 4 years which comfortably suits our needs- 2 adults, 2 growing boys & 3 dogs. The awning is huge and the cab section hold two large and very comfortable double beds. Below the one half of the cab section we  use the area as an underbed section for our son, you purchase this seperately but our son loves it and again it keeps him warm and totally dry.

We have just come back from the Highlands where I can honestly say we experienced the worst weather ever, torrential rain lashing against the canvas so hard we had to shout to make ourselves heard and wind that was gale force. But the t.t stood it all and was totally weather proof.

We have been impressed with it, the only thing I will say is as it takes a couple of hours to peg out  it started to put us off going away for short stays. This year however we purchased a Raclet canopy and we have already used it for a number of w/ends instead of the awning, it takes only half an hour to put up now. The cab section of the tent takes probably a minute to put up but it still needs pegging out.

My husband says in hindsight we should have purchased the Raclet quickstop as you do not have to peg out the cab section which makes it ideal for overnight stays.

Good luck whatever you decide.
