Well I am slowly but surely getting the old camper sorted, (1980's Pennine Pullman) and the next thing I need to look for is a table that can be let down and used as part of the dinning seat bed area.  Any suggestions or ideas where I might be able to grab one from??

I am not sure how this works in the newer versions, but in mine there doesnt seem to be any grooves, connections etc in the camper to support the table when it is being used as a bed base, so how could I do this???

Advice appreciated as always :)

If there's no support strips either side just below the seat cushions (so that with table in situ, the folded out cushions give a level bed) could you fix a couple of strips in strong aluminium L strip, or wood stained/painted to match ? Maybe the 80's Pullmans were intended to be 4 berth, not sure. The Owners Club here might be a source for a model specific table

No, there's no support strips or anything.  Sorry to pester for info again, but the aluminium L strips - do you know where they can be got from?

I have put a question on the owners club form thanks, but no joy yet :)

Try B & Q - they have an array of extruded aluminium sections in the hardware area. Our Pathfinder has beige plastic lengths, and although plastic they are quite strong as the section extends over the tops of the locker sides. But ally should be OK as it will be stronger than plastic - just ensure you fix it well to the locker sides!

Hi Montysmum, if the table listed on the Pennine site (your other thread) fits, some ali L strips would do it. You'd want to smooth off the kitchen end edges though - catching a sharp edge would definitely spoil someone's day 17

Thanks Mike.  Apologies for asking the question twice, I didn't remember doing it before! [:o)]
