Hello,
The Dandy will come with a gas bottle box which will hold 2 x Calor 4.5Kg cylinders. Blue for Butane, red for Propane. Each gas uses its own regulator. You say 4.5Kg, so I'm guessing it is a Butane? There will probably already be a regulator in there which screws onto one cylinder (The other cylinder is a spare).
You'll need a gas spanner, available from any caravan shop: -
The regulator goes onto the rubber hose & fastens with a jubilee clip. Check the date on the hoses. They need replacing every few years & the date is printed on them, certainly replace all the rubber hoses if any show signs of any cracks when you bend them. There is a long rubber hose connecting the hob & possibly another for a 3 way fridge on the right of the kitchen inside the camper.
As for assembly, you'll be fine putting the main camper up using the roof poles as per the instructions, but you may need a step for fixing the top of the awning. There is a web group for Dandy Owners (free to join & very helpful), as well as an owners club you may wish to join. There is another useful page HERE. If you need any spares or repairs Riva Leisure used to make them until last year & are still in business. The owner, Ian Smith is an absolute gent & will do all he can to help you out.
Insist on seeing the vendor put the thing up!
Enjoy!
Steve.
