Hi, I have a Conway Cambridge, mine just clip to the edges of the wooden bit of the bed above and kind of hang underneath.

Hope that helps and you understand it.

If you take the canvas to someone who does tent repairs they should be able to cut the canvas and fit the zips.  There should be no reason why you can't hang an inner tent under there, it's just that back in the day some models had the option and some didn't!

not sure what you mean with this.  I have an old conway corniche and the trailer/sleeping area can be erected as a tent on it's own, the awning then zips onto this.  It doesn't have a skirt as the canvas that covers the trailer/sleeping area goes from top to bottom and is pegged down.

Can I just add that after trying it my kids will not sleep in the under bed pods a it is a bit coffin like (I have to agree with them). The bottom of the bed above you is only about 10-12 inches above your face

So I bought a 2 man quick erect tent off ebay for £11.

I intend to put this up in the awning and they sleep in there instead.
