Hi everybody, have now bought myself a Dandy Dart and wonder if anyone has the cotton liners for sale? If not has anyone ever made anythemselves and if so was it easy, any tips or hints. Thanks.  By the way am now very excited and cant wait to get the Dandy after debating which type of trailer tent to buy. Its the PVC after all that has swung it to the Dandy

Congratulations on your new purchase..and welcome to the "dark side" ...life will never be the same again! Sice getting my first Dandy I've been totally obsessed with them. Mine is open on the lawn right now!

I assume you mean roof linings. I can't say that we have ever bothered putting ours up. Seems more bother than its worth. Unless I am wrong, and they have a real significance, and I am missing out on something.

Yup, I am obsessed as well, our's is opened up on the drive.  I have just fitted proper curtain track, very small,  to replace the original plastic coated wire and the better half is making new curtains.

The cotton lining prevents condensation apparently.  I always get annoyed when the hooks that hold it in place come off as you are fitting out so we are going to make a new one using velcro to hold it in place.

Regards Bob

Hi Sandy, thanks for the welcome. Havnt got my hands on it yet. It is being fitted with electrics and gas struts to help me open it up. I just think the lining will be more attractive and welcoming if the weather is bad as I dont intend rain to stop me driving up to the peak district for a few days.

Thanks also to Bob, how will you attach the velcro to the roof etc., It sounds ideal. If you have a go let me know how it works out and I will also try it.

Regards Jo

if you're going to make new ones try using thermal blackout lining as it makes a difference. I remade all my bedroom inners and it just took a bit of time to measure the template out and it was really worth it.

Jo, I am going to fit the velcro to the underside of the roof bars.  We made square section bars which we had zinc pasivate plated.  They are as light but stronger than the originals and the hooks are a better fit at each end ( the rivets don't come loose)

Regards Bob.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. I have picked up the dart today, the rain poured down and I have'nt been so wet for ages. I hope I can remember what to do. Have decided i will try to assemble it but only in dry weather so that I can take my time. really excited and cant wait to try it all out. Cheers, Jo
