Hi, we're going to Bude meadows tomorrow and it's our first long trip with the camper. Just wondering which service stations I should avoid at all costs on the way down. Will need to make some stops for loo breaks and the likes and don't want to end up having a coronary just trying to find somewhere to park etc.
Really excited now shame we're going such a long way just for a long weekend though.
Most of the bigger service stations have a caravan section, and we used those. Or if not, just found a double length car space and used that. It was never a problem in the times we went down to Devon/Cornwall, New Forest etc.
We've used Stafford (M6) and Taunton Deane (M5) in the past, and they both have good parking for tow-ers.
Enjoy Bude - it's fab. But that's a hell of a haul just for a w/e!
yep, Know Bude very well as my family is from Stratton, we're there for my cousins wedding but OH has to be back in work on Tuesday so a long weekend is all we can manage this time. It is going to kill me having to pack up on Monday morning - I would love to move down there permanently.
Be aware that if you stop at Gordano, you'll have to reverse out of the parking space. It's not too bad, there's plenty of room, but the guy next to me jacknifed his van with a loud crunch!
