Hello all
I have been using this site for some time to gain invaluable advice but as yet haven't really posted.
Anway i thought it was about time i did.
We (Wife and 6 YO son) have just returned from our first trip away in our CONWAY TT. We stayed at the C and C club site at Burniston,Scarborough.
We purchased it last year (12 months old ) but have until now only practised in a relatives field.
We had a great time and only wish we had done this years ago instead of being herded off to Spain etc at great expense!!
For any one making their first trip believe me it's not as bad as you think and contrary to popular belief you will not be the entertainment for everyone whilst putting up your unit.
Everyone was so helpful with advice, from the manager at the site down to our new neighbours for the week.
I had never towed before but before making the trip i ensured i had a few trips out locally, pulling my unit to make sure i was happy with towing and hitching and unhitching, i also spent a morning practicing reversing in my father-in-laws field.
One thing we have learned from our trip is travel light,you don't need lots of clothing.
