Just recently moved storage for our camper due to it closing down.Informed our insurer (Insurance For Holiday Homes).They just telephoned to say their underwriters will not cover us for our new storage due to 1 or 2 incidents at new storage place since 2001.I explained to him our old place had approx 25 vans and no security and had also had vans stolen since we had been there approx 5 ,and the new storage has approx 100 vans and a gate which is locked at 8pm ,a security camera points directly at our camper and storage owners live on site but all to no avail as it was the underwriters decision.So now i urgently need a new insurance company any suggestions please?The guy at my present company said i will get a partial refund if i can find someone willing to insure our folding camper.Going to france next Weds so i could have done without this messing and also not happy at our camper currently in storage and uninsured thanks in advance.

I pay approx £9.00 pcm with new for old upto £4000 and also covers all my camping equipment.

 

Also very helpful when i rang them...

Managed to sort out insurance now with caravan guard .I telephoned and explained the situation and they were very helpful as you mentioned.My old insurance are refunding remaining amount and in defense of the the guy he was sympathetic this time and stated it was the underwriters decision so alls well now in my household .Thats the beauty of this website you can always count on someone helping you out if you have a problem thanks again now time to pack for France.
