With our Pullman and Mitsubishi Grandis 2.0 litre diesel towing we get about 34-35 mpg on journey of mixed driving while normally we get up to 50mpg but 40 on motorway.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your feedback on this question. It looks like the mid range to large engines seem to do better. It's great to see so many different examples.

Folding camper for us for sure on these results.

Believe me it is- I'd sell the house but NEVER my Pennine! I have lived in mine for 3 months already this year (in europe!) I can't wait until the end of high season and we'll be hitching up and away! So much cheaper. I have owned several caravans- but really this is the way to go! All the conveniennce,luxuries etc  but no hassle normally associated with towing and for longer hauls when we do a quick overnight stop  its brillant just to unfold. We have got it down to arounnd 3 minutes! Now the newer ones are not made of canvas- they can even be folded away wet! I am not on commission from Pennine but I can't praise mine enough. Its certainly well used  and has already been put through its paces. Its a very high mileage Pennine and well lived in and boy it handles the hammer! I will certainly get every pennies worth from mine! It should be a good time of year to start looking for one- you could get a good deal. Good luck and enjoy!
