I know your tent is a doddle to put up but now you've sorted out the poles the TT will be much easier next time.  Its worth the effort although every time we get to the awning on our FC my husband starts muttering thats its far too much hard work.  Once its done he's happy as larry.

Enjoy it,

Homebird

Hi we have a Cabanon Mistral bought off ebay in May the first time we used it we had a muddle with the poles and the stress that goes with that but a nice camper came and sorted it out for us !! We have now colour coded the poles and have used it 3 times it now takes my husband and I  1 1/2  hours to put up completely without any stress and quicker if children help and last 20 mins he is pegging down and I am making beds and putting kettle on !! I expect things will get a bit quicker when we have had more practise. I love the huge space we have but would probably change to a folding camper when our two girls no longer want to camp with us ! Oh and I love the fact everything is in the trailer so we all have more room in the car !!

Hi Homebird,

Not sure what kind of camper trailer tents you have in the UK but the OZtrail Camper Trailer Tents are very popular in Australia. Maybe you should see if anyone distributes them in the uk?

I love my Combi Camp!

I'm a single disabled lady of a certain age, and I can get the cabin pitched in under 1 minute. I need help with the awning but I think 20 mins should do it. I can get the poles together in under 5 mins (they are colour coded), the awning zips onto the cabin  -  I have managed this once in about 10 mins, then it's just pulling the awning over the poles and pegging which I needed help with.

The kitchen is fixed on the tow bar, and I pitch a cheap Argos utility tent over that so I have a semi-detatched cooking area. For me alone the cabin is quite adequate, and I lived in it for almost 2 weeks last year.  There is even space for stowing my powered wheelchair in it overnight.

Hope you get to grips with your new purchase soon, don't despair, practice will help!

We went from tents  to a folding camper, Pennine Pathfinder.  6 years ago and absolutely LOVE IT ! From pulling up on site to sitting down with a coffee usually takes just 20 minutes. We have 3 large double beds inside the cabin and room for 2 more in the awning which takes 15 minutes extra to put up, but is 6 X 3 mtrs huge. We have room for all of us plus 3 dogs which we show, all over the country and in all weathers , comes with 'wet covers' for packing away in rain.Thoroughly recommend getting a F C to anyone, No fiddling with poles, just unfold and its up. Job done. More time to hit the bottle,  Lemonade of course !!

We went for our khyam ultimate to a Dandy Destiny earlier this year and have never looked back. Usually all set up in about 30 mins and not having to put in the bedrooms, mats, setting table up etc. Can't see us ever going back
