Each have advantages.
The Camplet has to be completely erected, including the awning, whereas a Combi can be used with or without the awning. Also, it depends on what age of unit you are thinking of as they have changed over the years, e.g. new Camplets have gas assisted struts to make opening easier (older ones were really a two person job unless you were strong and fairly tall, whereas a Combi can be done by one person); new Combis from about 2000 have a permanently fixed kitchen on the back, older ones either didn't have them or they were on the drawbar and had to be moved when setting up.
I prefer the Combi Camp and have owned two older units, so I'm biased.
