everyone keeps talking about using thompsons waterseal for their canvas tents. seems to work brilliantly for half the price.

my question...

can i use this on my ex display vermont xl?

Thompsons and fabsil are for cotton canvas only.

For synthetic fabrics you will want something like Nikwax

So for my Sunncamp Holiday 350 TT, I could use Thompsons or fabsil?

whats the best and easiest to use?

They are virtually the same, some poeple say the thompsons is actually better then fabsil as it contains more of the water proofing agent.

Eitherway they can be painted (Brushed or sponged) or sprayed on. Spraying is the prefered method for eveness and ease of application. Just make sure your windows are covered as it can leave marks on them which are hard to remove.

Seen a thread about somewhere about Thompsons changing the formula due to EC regs or something, the new type cannot be used on canvas! Make sure you get the old type that says canvas on the bottle.

Hi i contacted thompsons tech guys who informed me that the new water seal is no longer suitable for canvass, however Wicks is just as good we have just proofed our F/C
