Hubby and I can put up our Camargue in about one hour from start to finish, including both undertents, the awning extension section and main awning but not the living area roof liners. (Which we don't use normally.) Mind you we've been practicing for a few years now. We are a well honed team! It took us twice that amount of time when we first used the TT, untill we went on a trip where we moved site nine times in seven weeks....
Tips....
1) Colour code all your poles so that you're not faffing about.
2) Take a small spirit level so you can level the trailer quickly and effectively
3) Work symmetrically when you're putting up the cabin ie one of you on each end, working round the pole set in mirror image putting the poles up one notch at a time, otherwise they'll jam.
4) Hang the underbed tents before you drop the cabin skirts.
5) Once the cabin canvas is down one of you get inside the cabin and guide the pegging out person so that the four corners go out square and a good distance from the bedboards. (The front corners don't need to be clear of the bedboards at the awning edge if using the awning.)
6) Once the awning is up and pegged at the corner one person can continue to peg out while the other goes in and does the cabin liners, groundsheet, curtains etc. Take two mallets so that the inside person can peg out the front of the cabin as well. Remember all doors need to be closed while pegging out.
7) We don't usually put our sun canopy up till all else is sorted, or leave it till the next day. This takes another ten minutes or so.
Finally, the instructions are actually pretty good as to method of erection. We bought the Camargue from a friend who had owned it for several years and who gave us the advice "Put it up the way they say". Hubby was convinced that he could find a better way and our first half dozen trips were...well, full of arguements and the TT looked dreadful, plus it took longer! Now we do things as per the instructions and we always erect it in exactly the same way every time, so we always know exactly what the other person is doing and what's coming next.
In other words,. practice and you'll get faster, I promise!
