at the moment i have a motorcycle top box(rickman) but i find its not big enough for all the gear i need and i would prefer plastic/fibreglass type boxes

Your're talking to yourself here Barry. You could buy a proper box - sometimes you can get one on ebay for under £10017. We spent weeks looking on tinternet for a cheaper alternative a year or two ago and eventually found a metal box on ebay that a tyre fitting place had lying around - cost us £20 and perfect for gas bottles pegs etc

you sound just like my OH - that's his excuse for not doing any DIY in the house, basically it has to be made of metal, covered in grease and in need of a man size spanner for him to be interested.

Coincidently I'm wondering about the same thing for my tt. At the moment it has a wooden box on the front but its falling apart and OH doesn't want to patch it up (naturally). If all else fails I might ask my carpenter nepphew to design something for us.
