Hi

Welcome to camping.

Hot water bottles, one each and a cheap door mat if it rains then its great to have somewhere to take off your shoes and keep the ground sheet relatively clean and dry.

Have a great time

hello glynis/dollie

welcome to ukcs and a world of advice support, help and friendly people

i hope you enjoy your forthcoming trip

you may want to think about extra layers, blankets etc for when it gets colder and sitting out late into the night

the best advice you can get is to enjoy yourself, find what suits you and the family and become a camping addict, just like the rest of us....

Sharon
off to Caerwys, Flinsthire, Saturday for 2 nights, 7 of us including three granddaughters

Well Hello Dollie - gosh sorry about that 17 & welcome from me too. I'm new to the site as well, not to camping but new to caravanning (we just got a small oldie) & have found this site fantastic for advice on all aspects.

Only thing I can think of to add at this point might be a head torch too - very handy if you need both hands for anything, & reading too.

We are going to take a couple of cat-litter trays with us (new ones!) next time we tent, as if you get really muddy boots it will contain the mess & be easy to get rid of & clean.  Enjoy your camping. 17
