I'm buying a 2nd hand conway cruiser.. I've seen a good one
but the plate with chassis number and weight plate is missing should I be suspicious or is the chassis number printed anywhere else on the trailer.

can't help on the chassis number etc ours is on the A frame i believe, but the only thing I would think about is it a lot cheaper than other crusiers that are being sold.

may be advisable to check if the current owners are the true owners[if poss] , `speially if the price is that good,ie: well below that of units of a similar age, hopefully for you it is all legit, if so enjoy

The only reason the chassis plate is not there is that it is stolen report it.

I'm going to view the camper next week having viewed lots of pics the people seem genuine I asked for confirmation of the campers weight thats when they said they couldn't locate the chassis plate.. I'll look for myself when I get there.

If they said they couldn't locate it perhaps its there but they dont know where to look.  If there isn't one then I don't think you'll be able to insure it ,

Maybe you could ask for proof of purchase from who they bought it from and follow it up from there. I dont think I would take a chance until I new it was genuine.

Chassis plate is located on the A frame by the hitch not hidden at all
