hi, can someone help, i,ve been looking at trailer tents on ebay  thinking of getting one for next year.but i need to find out what our car will tow. its a N reg HONDA CIVIC.i,m not sure if the car will be able to tow a trailer tent. i keep getting told different thing some people say it will tow a trailer as long as its only 500kg and  under others say its to old to even have a tow bar put on.the car has got a good body and engine so could someone please help me. i don,t want to buy a trailer only to be told the cars engine is to small. thanks glynis

The towing weights should be in the handbook. Can you still get a towbar for that model?

witter list tow bars for the civic 1995 on so if your car is later then you should be able to get one. you will have to check the towing limit but if the car is in good condition it should manage 500kg no problem.

my conway royale tt comes in at 450kg...some models are lighter so u should be ok as long as u can actually find a towbar for your car!

Visit a Honda dealership....They will give best advice, but the towing weight limits will be in the handbook and on a metal plate rivited under bonnet somewhere.

Hi Dollie, I drive a Honda Jazz and can tow up to 500kg, so although you car is older I would think you can tow at least that. Have you tried the Michelin site where you can check your car against towing weights.
