I have a leak in the canvas of my conway cruiser which i cannot reach when it is erected.

I do not tjhink it can be properly done when it is folded as it is not taut.

Can it be waterproofed from the inside?

Put the proofing on when it is down and reachable but then put it up and let it dry taut.
