On our 8th time of putting up our Camplet we had an experience we'd not had before:   Just as we were about to extend the side 'bars' there was a gust of wind [not very strong, at all] and backwards it went. One of the bars got stuck behind the metal frame over the end of the bed area.

So the lesson we learned is that if there's any wind at all one person should hold down the tent while someone else pegs out the two corners - just in case.

We think there's a slight bend in the kitchen side bar - which needed a bit of a shove to get it to collapse when we were taking it down when, normally, it slides in easily.

Just peg down the two guy ropes at the front loosely as soon as you open up and when you are packing up keep them pegged until you are ready to close up

Simple

I just lightly peg the centre 2 pegs on the front...same reason but I tend to always use the awning so the guys are not readily attached to the main tent

Set the Trailer up with the towbar facing into wind, it will assist the opening process rather than turning the trailer into a spinnaker !!
