Hi everyone,

We are considering a new trailer tent after just selling our beloved Conway Continental. We need more space and have decided on getting a cabanon, not sure weather to get the Atlantis or Galaxy though ? Any suggestions/Comments ?

have a Cabannon Galaxy, which I bought last year for £750. I was well used but in great condition. We have now had 4 holidays in it, 1 week in Derbyshire, 3 Weeks in France 2 Weeks in Wales and 2 Weeks in Spain. I have to say that it is a great tent and we love it, Despite some pretty heavy rain it has never leaked. The canvas is faded, but still in great shape as it has always been properly looked after.

My wife and I can get it fully setup in around 1 hour - the awning is a bit of a pain, however, once setup it is massive inside - plenty big enough for the 5 of us

hope this helps

Matt

If you liked the Conway trailer you will like the Cabanon trailer - they are the same!

Make sure you get a good deal, though, because Cabanon overprice their products massively on the pretext of being "higher quality" than any other (Hence why they are so popular with dealers). They aren't, of course, they're just more expensive.

If you like those huge hooped awnings, though, have yo considered the Raclet Safari? It's considerably cheaper, and Raclet have bucked up their interior design ideas considerably of late...

No, it's just Raclets appeal to my niche - they are cheap, well engineered, have the heaviest and best canvas, but without any posh frilly bits.

The Safari is their "posh frilly bits" tent, and as such has laminate flooring, sexy chrome light surrounds, and the interior wood is made out of something other than their usual formica-coated chipboard.

It must be said that hoop awnings are not my thing, and feel irritatingly difficult to put up, and overly reliant on the canvas to stay up.
The canvas is considerably better than the equivalent Cabanon, though.
