As we have to leave our FC out over the winter, we decided to completely take off the canvas and bring it inside with the other fabric items i.e. inners, mattresses etc.  Intially, we thought it would be a little awkward, but it came off very easy.  We have put a winter cover over the main body, and hopefully we have got peace of mind for the damp winter months.

All you need to do is untie the canvas from the poles.  On the poles that go through the canvas, you lie the pole down and click the pole to the last notch and gently pull the pole out and slide the canvas off, then slide the pole back into place.

We did the same on Sunday at our last weekend of this year. It is even easier with the Fiesta. 3 screws at each end under the bed, slip it out of the poles job done. There is peace   of mind when your camper is not under cover and anything that can be ruined if the bad weather gets in. Although my Fiesta is 12 years old ,and the previous owners never took the cabin off ,and it was stored in the open by them from new,it is still in perfect condition.I still aint taking no chances.

We're off away for another weekend, half term and the new year in our folding camper!! We just take the big oil filled radiator from home and we're toasty. Camped in the snow in Derbyshire last Easter! Not ready to pack away yet :(

We would love to use our camper in the winter, but the old bones start to creak after September. We would just sit there looking through steamy windows .SW307,we camped through the snow in Derbyshire last Easter too,but didn't enjoy it one little bit.

Hi.

We put our's away last weekend as well. I built wy own shed beside my house 3 years ago and when I was building it I put a loft in it so for storing our trailer tent over the winter I can store it up in the loft

Very happy with this as still have all my floor space in shed

Happy Camping

Andrew.

Hi Neil. When I built the shed I put a RSJ (rolled steel joist) at the top of the A at the gable end. This is going from the front to the back of the shed. On this I have a trolly that moves along the beem and hanging of it is a 1 tone chain block. I made a frame that goes under the trailer's chasse, and then I use 2 sling's and a cupple of shackels and up she goes! When she is up to the top I can then slid the trailer along the beem to the loft.

Have to admit when the trailer tent is hanging 10 feet up is the air on a cupple of straps  is dose get the heart going hopping she will not fall

Hope this helps
Happy Camping

Andrew,

impressed with the idea, im in the building trade myself, its an impressive project to do in your own garage as you only normally see this set up in industrial buildings.

regards,

Neil.

Thank's Neil. This is an old picture, since then I have made a set of stairs and a removeable railing at the front and also extended the loft on one side. Very happy with it.

Andrew.
