Has anyone experienced difficulties obtaining Pennine parts ? and if so how did you resolve these ?

My Pathfinder has been with a dealer for the last 8 weeks awaiting Pennine to supply a tensioner pole.

I thought Howard had sorted that out?

Is it worth phoning up pennine and (gently) pointing out the obvious hole in their customer service skills?

I say gently because there was a thread on the caravan forum of someone who phoned up bailey and gave them a right mouthful for not sending a shower tray to the dealer, and it turned out they had and the dealer was being lazy and pretending it hadn't turned up yet.

Why has your camper had to go in to a dealer? A tensioner pole isn't a permanent fitted part.

Pennine rarely respond to emails but they do eventually answer the phone if you call. Personally I have found them to be a nightmare regarding the supply of parts and their long leadtimes and high courier costs

Call them and tell them that what is going on!

Thanks for your replies,

My camper was their for other work which has been completed although still awaiting the pole they ordered which despite call from both themselves and me Pennine havent supplied.

We have had to give up 2 weekends away due to their reluctance to give a straight answer and is now becoming frustrating

We have found Pennine to be helpful and quick. We phoned and spoke to a nice lady called Barbara, who obtained a new zip for us within the week. She then called to say it was ready and as we were dubious about the post put it on to the next delivery to Camping International within a couple of days. We have now collected it from them (and no postage or delivery charge) So they are not all bad. It is better though to phone rather than to email.

Yeah I had to ring them about a flexible window pole and the woman I spoke to was really good.
