Hi all,

I have a Cabanon Neptune, and wondered if anyone had come up with an innovative solution to make the 'Kitchen' easier to move? It's really a two person job to move at the moment, and my wife has a permanent back injury so I'd like to make it a one person job if possible.

Have you used the Neptune yet?

I did see one on ebay a few weeks ago with the trolly wheels on the bottom of the legs. I must admit we were looking to do this, but then sold ours.

The trolly wheels were a bit like the ones on hospital trollies. I'm sure you know the type. The kitchens are heavy.

Not sure if they would need to be welded on?

But if its that heavy won't there be problems pushing the unit even on wheels?  Our Kitchen unit was heavy and needed 2 to move it and that was on our 20+ year old Conway Contiki.  I doubt it would have moved very well on grass with a groundsheet.

Thank you Stuart. This has given me great food for thought. I had imaged replacing the legs with an alternative, but your link has given me the idea of adding some wheels in some fashion. I have the winter to invent my contraption :)

TVS in bolton have the Conway kitchen wheeled legs,they should fit Cabanons as they are cheap foreign copies of the great british Conway! (note for lawyers,just joking). £25 a pair,though my old Conway Spirit (made by cabanon) had 4 wheels and it made life a lot easier.
