We have a Sunncamp 400SE that is far to big and difficult for me to put up on my own now,( 'Er indoors disability has got worse) and it is much to big for us now. So we are looking at downsizing and are considering a Camplet due soley to the fact that the kitchen swings out on hinges. We have looked and looked but cant find any other make with a hinged kitchen, so my question is are there?
If you are happy with an older model and want one that's eay to put up I'd suggest looking at Transcampers - they have a swing out kitchen and you should be able to pick up a reaonably priced one for about the same as you'd get for your Suncamp in late spring. Just a 2metre awning too so easy peasy to erect.
Unless you buy a new gas assisted model avoid Camplet. We got rid of a 2002 Concorde that was heavy and hard work for two of us to put up. We changed to a Trigano 415 Randger folding camper which is much easier to put up. For short stays we dont put up the main awning. The kitchen is not hinged however.
How about looking at Combi Camps? Much easier than a (pre - gas assisted struts) Camplet for one person, and the kitchen stays on the back so you can get to it whilst travelling and don't have to hump it about when you pitch.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
The way I am being booked up for family weddings, holidays abroad, ( to far to drive is Romania and we are being treated by son and dil) wedding anniversaries and the like I dont think we will a chance to get away much. But will keep looking using some of your suggestions.
AND we have just got back from the vets £260 lighter and a cat with a few teeth missing.
Raclets all come with the option of a swing out kitchen. They are the only "trad" which does.
Essentially you have to ask for one as an extra, but it is the normal kitchen-less TT with a kitchen which hooks over the rear door. Once you have opened the door you pop the legs on and it's there and in place. It's also easier to lift by yourself if necessary.
You could even see if you could get one and use it on any other make of trad kitchenless TT.
