Hi all, another newbie to the forum site.

Could anyone tell me if the Cabanon Stratos trailer tent is as easy to erect as manufactuers/dealers say?  Previously had a Trigano TT but husband hated the pegging out/attaching the awning etc.

I really like the look of the Stratos but convincing the husband will depend upon how long it realistically takes to put up.  Does anyone have a Cabanon Stratos TT?  Any advice you can offer?

Thanks

The Cabanon Stratos is, realistically, the slowest TT on the market to go up.
It's got plenty of other good points, but it doesn't just unfold "tadaaa!" like the trigano. Sorry.

Plenty of people like those hoopy awning things. I don't. With two people they are dead easy to put up, with one they are effectively impossible.

If you want easy to put up INCLUDING awning, your only choices are a Camp-Let and a bank loan, a Combi-Camp and a second Mortgage or a Holtkamper and selling your kids for medical experiments.

Plenty of people have posted on here in the past about how they love their Cabanons, and to be fair they seem reasonably well screwed together, but however skilled you get at putting them up, you are never going to be able to come close to any other make apart from Sunncamp.

Hi,
We have the Stratos and no realistically it does not go up in the time that they say, but after 2 or 3 times erecting it, you find your own way of getting it up easily, and we have got it to about 45 minutes to an hour, but we have the added stress of looking after a dog and 4 year old. The trailer part does go up in about 10 minutes, after you've got the legs down, and mastered how it goes. If you do decide on the stratos, don't hesitate to get back in touch and I can give you a few helpful tips. It certainly beats putting poles together and is very spacious and an eye catcher, we love ours and wouldn't swap it for anything. There is 1 downside we have found, because of its dark blue colour it attracts the heat and is HOT in the sun, which is great in the colder months but not in the summer (not that we need worry about that these days !!) Hope i've helped you some.

Thanks guys, that helps a lot.  Realistically it wouldn't seem possible to erect the whole outfit in approx 35 mins!!

Looks like we have some decisions to make.

If you're really looking to save time and not have all the pegging out then you should be looking at a folding camper instead of a trailer tent.

Wow have you brought a TT then pager!

I think whatever you buy they always take time to put up, at least till you practice and know what your doing, none of them go up as fast as the dealers claim!
