I take a 10" TV/DVD player it works fine for what we need it to do. But to be honest when we're away it's lucky to be used for more than a couple of hours a week as we tend to be out & about a lot.

We still have one of these old fashioned teeny weeny wee b&w one's with the built in radio, dont watch that much telly tbh,but with the climate changes we're having at the moment, thinking of getting new one with built dvd or laptop as spending more & more time indoors.

Thanks for all advice. OH now purchased a cheap as chips TV/DVD and Freeview tv from Tescos. Will be great for our Easter hols as the weather does not look like it is going to be bril. Least this will enable us to have a peaceful brew first thing in the morning and last thing at night whilst beloved daughter is watching much loved peppa pig. It better not take too much Eleccy as we will need it for the heater!!!

Don't forget the Headphones, in a van TT or under canvas sound travels.  Sets of these will cover most of your needs and will allow you to listen to the radio on your lonesome as well.  Cheap as chips or expensive as you want. Only one base unit needed so you can leave the rest at home.

Go on you know it makes sense.

After spending years trying to get a half way decent signal from the van's "Status" aerial, we upgraded to a sub £50 Aldi HD sat dish + box. Teamed up with a cheap Tesco LCD TV with inbuilt DVD player.

We now get BBC1, 2, 3, ITV1 ,2, 3, 4, C4, E4, more4, Film 4, C5 and a few free to air HD channels (plus a hand full of shopping & religious channels we just skip over).

17 Happy days. 17

We take a 19" lcd tv with built in freeview and dvd player. We have an aerial that is mounted onto a tall pole that we hammer into the ground. Excellent picture once aerial is facing the right way. Wouldn't camp without one, we have 4 ankle biters!! lol
