I am considering buying a second hand folder from Gobur in Norfolk - but before I visit I'm going to get a tow bar and electrics fitted to my car.  The big question though is what type of electrics will I need.  The caravan will be an oldish model - if I get a modern 13 pin connection and the van turns out to be standard electrics would I be able to get a conversion cable - I imagine that older vans would not have the 13 pin arrangement but if I change the van later for a more modern version would I be stuck again?   If someone can help please I'd be very grateful.

i suggest you contact Richard at Goburs, he will let you know what socket will be on the gobur and what you will need to have fitted on your car.

I find Gobur after sales fantastic

there are converstion cables for 13 to old style ones.

Yes, you can get a converter plug to go between the towbar electrics and the trailer.
