This year we are hoping to take a small flat screen TV with us when we go camping in our trailer tent.. can anyone give me advice on aerials etc. I have seen the type that go on the long poles that attach to the trailer but does any one know if they are any good? if so which are the best

We use an Image 530/18 on a 3mtr pole fastened to the tow bar. We have used it all over the UK and not been disapointed. I am sure that others will come along with their suggestions.

I bought a small flat one from morrisons for £20.its a make thats made for them.if you look in their tv section you will find it.our branch hasn`t got them in stock now but you might find them in one of their stores..anyway i have taken it to two different sites and had a perfect picture both times on freeview.it is amplified and needs to be plugged into the electric and its a indoor aerial.considered buying a external one but this one works fine and its  compact.hope this helps.cheers.Alex

Maplins sell portable free sat kits complete, dish cable digibox, £50, all you need is a stand.I bought a camera tripod at a car boot for £2, it takes about 10 Min's to set up, find satellite Astra 28.6 east, picture perfect every time.To find satellite point dish to east, turn sound up on tv, press info on remote, press 1 button you get a low pitch sound, go to the dish move it slowly, when it picks up the signal the sound will go to a very high pitch, lock dish off , that's it.It sounds complicated but when you get used to it, its simple, you get about 300 channels most are rubbish but you get all the main ones.ps its 12v or mains.
