No, the awning isn't 3 metes. I think it's 2.
It would be a bit of a squeeze in my opinion for 5, although I'm sure there are plenty who have used it as such!
For my money, you want 1 bedroom for you and other half (assuming other adult is other half) and then 1 bedroom each for each additional child unless they are used to sharing at home. So this means 2 under bed tents.
Also I reckon on minimum 1 metre of awning length per child!
That said, Jamet are a quality make. They are owned by Trigano, but are, to the best of my knowledge, not currently part of the Trigano/Raclet coalition (i.e. they make their own tents; Triganos are currently farmed out to Raclet).
You will do well with one, but I would suggest that unless it's a fabulous bargain you would be better off looking for a big older Conway, or a Raclet Parthenon/Acropolis, or a Trigano Chantilly or Oceane or something.
Possibly a Cabanon, although I personally don't rate them - too much tacky white formica for me - although you'll find plenty on here who swear by them.
