Just spent a whole day fiddling with locks on my rapido 6 berth caravan.The person who sold it to us had broken the key in lock.Managed to get broken key out.But spent the whole day looking for new locks before hand but couldnt get any was all to big.Managed to sort it and booked a hol whitson to cheer me up.

If anyone is dismantling their Rapido lock can they try and take measurements (as full a set as possible). I don't have a key for mine so need to replace the lock and as I can't open it before next NZ summer (your winter) it would be helpful if I can start the search now. I think the vital measurements are the thickness of the barrel and the length as I know it has to be very short. I have found a source of short locks but pointless buying if they are too thick. They are very expensive down here.

Alan how about I get a key copied from one of mine then mail it to you? You could just remove the barrels & alter the pins so the key fits like I emailed to you the other week? That's if I can get a key cut that small.

That would certainly help Tich, I'll email you privately. Thanks. I think it would still be useful though to have the measurements for future reference, there are other threads about lost keys so it must be a not infrequent occurrence.

Did you manage to buy replacement locks Melbel? If so where? We have half a key so must have the other half in the lock that doesn't work.
