lucky enough to have been given a laser in pretty good order, been wanting to "upgrade" from the old tt ...but and theres always a but....have two tears on the corners , not to much of a problem to re.sow and seal, but have a tear on the back panel at the top which i will patch ,and reading through the forum apparently copydex adhesive is the thing to use so would i be correct in this thinking ...also on a camper such as this age there is some mould ,which i think i brush and neutralise with milton sterilising fluid am i right in this again ?and then reseal with fabsil or similar..checked brakes ,lights etc all good and working, brand new spare so chuffed to bits ....now the silly question ...it comes with awning in really good nick but i didnt check how it fits to the camper,is it via a rail similar to a caravan or is it zipped ala tt style??all poles are with unit and camper and interior is super, curtains and all for a camper this age, comments and assistance in your replies will be welcome cheers in advance    gerry

The laser is very similar to the cardinal clubman that I used to have.  I made repairs to the old canvas (did eventually get a brand new one from TVS Bolton) using canvas patches, copydex, and reproofing with fabsil.  I also stitched the patches on prior to reproofing and used thread not cotton.  I never had a mildew problem, but I do think you are correct in using a MILD solution of milton, and plenty of fresh water rinsing afterwards.

The awing should slide into the rail on the hard top section of the camper.

Hope this helps, and enjoy, we have now moved to a caravan but still look back on the camper days with great fondness.

Shirley

If you put your awning through the awning rail and throw it onto the roof before you wind the roof right up, it makes it much easier.  You can the build the frame and pull the canvas over it.  Incidentally, if you are only going away for a weekend, you can use a porch awning because you have a normal awning rail - makes it much quicker to put up!
