As far as I am aware the fridge actually runs off the leisure battery and the car electrics keep this charged but it is only able to maintain the temp not actually cool things down. To cool down you need to plug the pathfinder into your mains at home before you go and you will need either an adapter for your hookup or a hookup lead with a normal house plug on the end. The twin electrics of your car will then charge the battery enough to keep the fridge cool. Did your pathfinder not come with its battery? A tip we learnt recently with our new pathfinder, make sure the pathfinder is level when sited otherwise the fridge wont work on electric or gas (though have not tried the gas oursevles yet) Our first trip out and we were on a slope and thought we had a broken fridge until good advice on here meant that we checked the fridge on our level drive at home. We now level the pathfinder better!
