Hi

have just found the forum after thinking about getting a trailer tent,we are thinking of getting a second hand fiesta as the beds are that much longer and I wonder what the beds are like in the fiesta ? I am 6 ft 4in tall and I think would just about fit , are they foam mattresses and how thick are they ? are they ok for a week at a time ?

Whats they best place to look for a feista to buy ?

we have had fiesta previous and found they are quite comfy, but could do with something just to boost the soft side a little , pending on how you sleep[on your side] then could be a little hard on the shoulder, as too looking for somewhere to ££ depends on where you live, alo there is ebay and preloved ,where some decent transactions can be found, but would say you would not be too dissapointed with one

I don't think the beds would be best for you as I am about 5ft 7in and could stretch out straight and didn't have much room left over. Also one side has one piece matress but the over side is a two piece matress thats not good for 4 adults or teenagers.

Traditional trailer tents tend to have bigger beds than folding campers, and a few have slatted bed bases too.

We have had a Fiesta for 2years now, and also a tunnel tent. Must say the airbed in the tent is more comfortable. So we put the airbed in the fiesta on top of the Fiesta bed.job done

Think it depends on which year you buy as what the mattresses are like, older models had foam ones newer ones have sprung ones.

update.to buying a fiesta for a tall person

well we bought a Fiesta in June in the end and have'nt looked back, went away for 2 long w/e's and 1 week in devon and 1 week in wimbourne, after the first w/e with an air bed under the mattress we thought it was quite comfy, that is until I bought a piece of 3-4" memory foam the size of the mattress for £50.It was soooooo  comfy we bought another to go on top of the bed at home.  sleeping in the feista now is like sleeping on the bed at home and yes it is long enough for some-one who is 6' 4" or 1.93m in new money. I can recommend the memory foam as we longer use the air bed under the mattress and sleep very comfy.

Nat

we got it from the local bed/ mattress  manufacturer , apparently  matteress manufacturers are useing it more and more, asked them if we could have a piece and the standard size thay have allready have cut was for the king size beds, so got a piece, put on our bed as it was going to be few weeks before we went away in the fiesta, and liked it so much we went and got another  for the trailer tent and then another for a work collegue who wanted one for his caravan bed.
told them they could make a business out of selling the stuff .

We got a memory foam topper from Netto - sign up for their newsletter to find out when they have them - it was about 20 quid I think and it makes a big difference.
