New to Trailer Tents. Was practicing setting up before initial campnig trip and noticed that where the1m extension zips to trailer/bedroom area, where the zips meet at the top, there is a small gap. The small weather strip does not seem to stay covering it where it is creased. Wondered if anyone had any thought on getting weather strip to stay flat again. It is creased in several places which is concerning me as to how waterproof it will be.

The outer baffle should have a long strip of shock cord through it, with a loop at each end that can be pegged down. My tall hubby always has to use the (blunt) end of a pole to make sure the baffle is flat, then it gets pegged down with the shock cord loops towards the cabin, holding the baffle flat.

I've got a Conway Camargue and yes, I know what you mean by there being a tiny gap at the zips but I've never had any sort of leak through there. For a start it's right up at the apex so water will run away from that point, and also once the baffles are flat, rain can't get driven through the zips anyway.

Edit: If you look on my profile pix you can quite clearly see how the very sun-faded zip baffles should be lying, and how the rear one is pegged out....or rather, not pegged out properly! It should be flat against the tent rather than out a bit. I suspect we've had the side panel rolled up there at some point.

Thanks for the info. First of all when I read your advice I thought that you did not understand what I meant, then it dawned on me, I have zipped extention on wrong way round. I only had clear small plastic seal, one on each side of zip, and two massive ones on the main awning join. I now realise I should have big seal on each one! I wondered why I had a vent in cupboard side and none on toilet side! So glad I posted! Many thanks.

Well, I'm glad that's sorted out for you even though I was addressing the wring problem as you say! Happy (and dry!) camping!
