Hi Stuart,
Just got back from Caernarvon - nothing doing at Snowdonia Adventure, they are all figreglass!
I actually need 4 poles which I can cut down to about 7" long but retaining the swaged down ends that fit into the next tube. I'm not bothered about the spring that is sometimes fitted to give the tube a firm fit in the connecting tube.
It is apparent that as far as tents are concerned, steel tent poles of this ilk are now virtually obsolete, but there must be some lying in the back of garages somewhere doing nothing with the actual tent that they supported rotten with mildew
Certainly that was the case at my parents' house but they have all gone in the skip.
Hang on to them Stuart, and if I don't get anywhere in the next few weeks, I'll check back with you and perhaps we can come to some arrangement.
Brian
