Hiya! oh thanks for the tips, I had noticed about the velcro piece too- perfection would have been to have poppers like the step into the cabin , I agree. The kids love the space. My OH just cannot seem to get it spot on (which I know level of ground etc can influence!) but wondered if he was doing something wrong. It can sometimes pull to one side more. We dont seem to have any corner poles? LOL and the instructions mention setting side feet?? not sure what they are either!!! Your idea about the ZIG sounds great (cleaning it first I imagine). Wev just spend a wet week (although kids loved being covered in mud playing in the woods!) atg Sumner Ponds (nr Horsham). Want to go to Cotswolds next year. We have the sun canopy too- do you?
Hi fusspot, we don't have much of a problem re pulling to one side - seems to go up well on the whole. The 'corner poles' are those that go into the front left and right corners - they keep falling over so what their purpose is God only knows - we don't seem to find that it's any less stable without them. We do clean the ZIG before pulling it across the beds - fits well, protects the beds and saves loads of time when pitching. We don't have the sun canopy as yet - we are however planning to go to Spain for few weeks next year and are looking to buy one as protection from the sun - do you find yours useful?

Would 100% go for the Olympe again - we absolute LOVE IT! We looked at various other models at Camperlands in Manchester and felt that the Olypme gave the greatest amount of space, comfort and quality.
Pitching time for the tent itself is about 45 mins max I would say - it's the setting up internally (carpet, chairs, table, wardrobe etc.) that takes the additional time but I do this whilst OH is doing the pegging out.
A really fabulous tent that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Dear Nit Nat and Searchlighters! The sun canopy is great and quite big, so great for those sunny days! Looks fab too.
Dear Nit Nat, if you are looking to buy a Trigano, we would be selling ours (including inner tent, side bedroom, sun canopy, kitchen, storage box etc!!! ) If you are interested- do email me on lindaagardner at hotmail.co.uk and we can chat about it. Save yourself some money on a good as new with extras!
Hi, we've had our olympe since march this year. We had the same problem with the side poles falling off! We decided on our last trip to swap them with each other, so the open part of the c clip now faces inwards towards the bed space of the tent and the outer canvas by the doors help keep it in place, this makes the poles sit at a different angle and they stopped falling off! Going to do the same on our next trip to check it wasn't a fluke. Hope this helps. We also put extra velcro at door and at step into living area(this bit looks like it should have had poppers). The other thing we have learnt on our trips is to peg two back guys and two front guys out loosely before we extend side poles(we nearly got caught out by wind which almost whipped the whole canvas back). We've heard a few people say they now have bent poles because of this.
My OH puts the beds over himself with me ready to take some of the weight as it comes over with no problems. He's 5'8" and I'm 5'3".
Other than these little things we love the olympe, space is fab for the four of us and we can put it up quickly, it's all our other gear that takes the time!
I'm seriously looking a the olympe but without the kitchen bit as we already have that with our existing tent. Can you tell me if the Olympe kitchen is worth it ? Also we'll have some bit for the inside of the tent (tables/chairs etc) can these be stored inside the trailer tent once packed ? I've not seen one of these in the flesh yet and was curious to know if they had any storage space in them.
We have a Jamtetic, which is quite similar to the Odyssee. We are very pleased with the storage inside, and I can't see that the Olympe would be much different in that respect. The only thing is, our second bed is over the trailer, so we don't have to empty the trailer when we are using the tent. In the Olympe the trailer becomes a seating area so I assume you would have to empty the centre.
As to the kitchen, again it will be similar to ours, its very good, very sturdy and lots of storage, but it weighs a ton!
We will be getting the Olypmee next month(inless something else catches our eye at the NEC!) and at first decided against the kitchen as we already had everything, however I then decided that as it had the sink/water pump and cupbards and draws we would be able to put & keep all the plates, dishes & cuttlery etc in the kitchen area at all times, and in turns just makes life a little easier, setting up & packing away and for general use too.
It does all that Nat, but it is very heavy, to be fair though we are yet to see the benefit of the pumped water and waste, which might change how I feel about it. The other thing is the length of it, which we didn't even consider. I'm having to put the larder and coolbox on the other side of the tent, which is a bit of a pain really.
I'm not particularly trying to put anyone off the kitchen, but its best to know the drawbacks of what you're getting, it prevents disappointment!
