The only thing that needs a 12 volt lead into your Fiesta is to run the fridge while attached to your car. I had mine wired up so as to put the fridge onto electrics while the engine is running through a relay, and a gadget which turns off the power should the car battery get too low if you park up on your journey. When i get to the site and set up, I switch to gas. Don't ask me how it works, as it was fitted by an electrician, but the fridge is cold when I get to the site after around 2 hours running. The 12 volt switch must be on on the fridge.I only use this system on the way to camp, when I pack up camp and take it off gas ,and switch the fridge to 12 volts but not connected,so that it's ready for the next trip. I leave a few items, like cans of coke in the door. There again it may be to charge your leisure battery while attached to your car.
