After 3 glorious days in Weymouth we had to do a wet pack up this morning! Quite a lot of rain during the night but this was forecast so clever bunnies that we are decided to get the dry as a bone awning down last night, boy are we glad we did!! Thankfully it wasn't actually raining as we took down this morning but the canvas was mildly moist! Anyway its back up being peed down on all over again now till we get a dry day to take it down! Selina

Had that the other week in Powys. Decided to take the awning down the night before we left. Good move as it p***ed down during the night. Nothing worse than drying out a Crusader awning at home...

At least you got it back up pretty quickly. It will probably have to stay up until next summer though............

Our daughters took ours to Anglesey last week. They had seven days of rain and wind. On the way home I dropped the wet awning off in a skip.

Problem solved!

PS I did have permission to use the skip, and it was a very, very old awning.

G.S.   More money than sense. Spring to mind.  Even ancient awnings make useful bags, windbreaks, covers. and the poles are always useful.

Where was that skip again???

I bought a white tarp so i place it over beds etc while in transit to protect from wet awning

Hi Simba Cat we spent 5 days at Silverstone with  glorious weather but when packing up Monday morning it just started to rain, will also mention the "D" word as we wont open it up now untill we go to Cornwall on the 31st. Good old Daisy the Dandy.

Love my Fiesta - sorry dandy owners!! All our matresses have plastic sheets that pull out to put over them and it all actually went like a dream! It will be wetter than wet right now we have just had the mother of all storms, probably won't pack it up again till Saturday now as that is the next dry day forecast.

It was a really good storm thunder and lightning wet again today in between the bright spells. Hope you get it dry.

Glad its all sorted,where in Cornwall r u going. We are going to St Agnes go every year cant wait, bit sad as normally both my girls and their families (4 Grandchildren) come down as well but this year they have booked to go to Minorca together so will be on our own will seem very strange.
