Hi guys. Just a few bits of advice needed. Just aquired one of these a couple of months ago but not had a chance to look over it properly due to it having to be kept a few miles away in a lock up. Went a couple of w/ends ago to open it up a bit and we have taken down one side of the curtains and matress cover to wash (left the other side up so when it comes to putting them back on we will know where it all goes then we take the other side down to wash . A few of the rubbers have perished that hold up the curtains, they are attatched to a tiny metal S hook thingy that then goes onto the sewn in tabs on the curtains. Id like to get the proper replacements, not just rubber bands, have checked out camperlands etc and theres loads of different types, figure of eight? thick? thin? so im not sure which type is best to get???

Also when we checked out the cooker that sits on the back of the TT  we didnt have time  to see how it stands up? Where are the legs? are they in with the tent poles? what do they look like?  Also there is one underbed tent but if we wanted to get another for the other side what happens to the door as it swings open to the right and covers up what would be the entrance to where the second underbed tent would be. Does the door come off?? Sorry its just crssed my mind and Ive not had a chance to go back and have a quick look myself.  Off on the Chy Carne Cornwall meet in 12 days so want to be prepared

No replies then?? Sorry just read it back and maybe its a bit too much . Does anyone know about the TT door though? Does it just unhinge? Ive googled pics of the inside of TTs and it does look like people have taken the door off to get into the sleeping area?

Perished rubber bands:

Same has happened to ours - we use those elastic things that go in girls' hair to make pony tails etc. Have worked a treat for us on our Chantilly.

Cooker stand:
If this is the type of kitchen unit that 'hangs' onto the back of the TT (i.e. opposite end to the hitch), then there should be 4 legs underneath it, that slide into the kitchen unit frame (i.e. - unscrew the knob, unclip the spring, and let them drop to the floor, before tightening knob back up).

Hope that helps. Trigano is a good make - good choice!

How old is your Chantilly Annie?  I don't think our 2005 model had a door.  When you took the kitchen away there was the canvas zip up door when you put the cabin up.  Is it a new thing?  I could be remembering wrong though!

Have fun in Cornwall.

if its 1995 ish the door lifts off but is still attached by the electric cable to the lights ,we rest ours against the trailer side out of sight.
in reality there is just one under bed tent on the left facing the rear of the trailer it has the press studs for the tent (which is tiny by any standards) it has a flap in the tent for air which isn't there on the other side.
no problem fitting studs on the right but would be a bit muggy in the summer.
its obviously younger than ours though as our kitchen sits on the draw bar as a sort of afterthought

Hi fatbloke, thanks for the advice. Ours is a 94...and yes the door is attached  to the  electrics cable but its handy to know it still lifts off, we will probably do what you do and put it alongside the trailer. The kitchen is on the opposite end to the door. I am confused (it doesnt take much lol) Does this mean it has to stay there then? I was hoping it unscrewed and you could put it in the awning.

yes open up the door and inside on the floor of the cooker are 4 butterfly nuts remove those and the cooker lifts completely off ,you should have 2 "A" shaped legs somewhere you put the top of the "A" under the handle on the end of the cooker and you will see the legs crossbar has a lip on it the cooker tucks into that making it stable .
i'v also done a conversion to allow for sloping sites i'l post a pic of the converted leg in my gallery.
its a slightly smaller tube that slides inside the leg ,remove bung in leg put new leg extensions end on lit cooker for 30 secs and force the bung into the slightly smaller tube ,drill hole in original leg for a pole clamp each side and hey presto no rocking cooker .
i didnt bother painting the inside tube its a good fit!

for some strange reason you have to click the middle image to see the leg
