Hi camper's , this subject has been coverd many times before i bet ,so which is the best product to buy but i am worried about the age of my tt been a cambridge 92 dl and not sure if it's been done before and will it harm it in anyway.
Could i use thomson's water seal on it i did use it on my frame tent canvas with no problems and it's cheaper than fabsil . Would you think 10 ltrs cover it ?
Personally if you can id put the TT up first and spray with an hosepipe to see if there is any leaks and if so how many. It may be that it is still watertight. I
If it does need waterproofing as ours did a couple of years back we did use fabsil, but only because thats what we could get at our local store, we would have used an alternative make if theyd had one. As for the amount you will need that depends on how much of the TT youre doing and how you apply it (we used a garden sprayer, it was a lot easier using this but we did use more fabsil). Will you have to do the awning as well.
Old spirit based Thomsons is ok,the newer water based ones are not. Reproofing won't harm the tent, but if it aint broke, dont fix it! Sometimes just soaking and then drying makes it waterproof.

Just proofed my TT using Fabsil and the garden pressure spayer. Took it up to Rosemarkie, in the Black Isle last w/e and we had one night of really heavy rain. Was well impressed, the water was just beaded off, just like it does on a new car. The awning however was not reproofed and it got really wet. It was like chalk and cheese.
P.S. we saw lots of dolphins, a CCC site to be highly recommend.
