I love camping weekends, yes it is exhausting at times but worth it. I t takes us 2 hours plus to get fully set up. The main unit only takes about 20 mins the rest of the time is taken up with awning, pegging, curtains roof liners setting up the bedrooms, water, waste water set up unpacking the car it all mounts up and equals......... EXHAUSTION......love it though !!! Oh no its time to pack up...did we not just set up..
I could never do the one night camp, I always go for 3 if possible.......
We love our weekends away. We only use the Porch Awning for so set up takes about half an hour, don't take too many clothes so not much unpacking and never go very far from home. Mind you, we don't work Fridays now so get a full day extra
We have a carvan on a seasonal pitch and find the weekends so relaxing we go fri tea time and come back sun afternoon, its the week thats a drag they go so slow lol!!

The most restfull weekends are when you do the least....go to a local campsite, take absolutely minimal kit that requires the shortest possible set up time, sub contract the catering to the local takeaway and choose a site where the kids (if you have them) are happy just guddling around, say with a river to mess around in or a good adventure playpark.
