We are relatively new to using our trailer tent and have only been away for a couple of weekends so far (loving it though). We also have a male dog who likes to wee on everything in sight and a couple of times has weed on the canvas of our trailer tent before we have caught him to stop him. At the minute we have just been washing it off with a bit of soapy water but I would like to know if anyone else has the same problem and what they use to clean the canvas as we don't it to become ruined in patches.

STOP USING SOAPY WATER IMMEDIATELY

You will ruin the waterproof properties of your canvas - just have a bucket handy at all times and rinse it off it will be fine.

Two steps I would take here.

First control the times he has a drink, making sure that he only gets to drink before being taken for a walk and certainly no drinks after he has eaten his evening meal.

Secondly I would use a Pet Shop bought Urine Spray Scent remover on any known piddle patches.

If these do not solve the problem then speak to your vet. Dogs do not normally soil their home environment and there may be an underlying reason for this behaviour.
